The 45th International School of Young Astronomers (ISYA), which will take place in Algeria from September 15 to October 5, 2024. The School is organized by the Center for Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics (CRAAG) and the General Directorate of Scientific Research and Technological Development (DGRSDT), jointly with the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters (NASL). It aims to promote and cultivate the advancement of professional astronomy in communities around the world.
A total of thirty students will be selected to participate in this three-week school. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum, including lectures, practical sessions, and projects, guided by an international team of experts. The program covers a broad spectrum of up-to-date astrophysics, encompassing both theoretical and observational aspects. Participants are expected to commit 100% of their time to actively participating in all planned activities during the three-week term. The school program is intensive and selected students should avoid scheduling commitments in their home universities during those dates.
The program covers expenses for flights to and from Algeria (including domestic flights), accommodation, and subsistence at the ISYA.
Although ISYA is not a research conference per se, we actively encourage students to submit posters providing a concise overview of their research topics.
