A memorandum of understanding was signed between SONATRACH and the National Oil Corporation (Libya), on 02-10-2022 in Tripoli (Libya), in the presence of our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdelkader CHERFAOUI, for the strengthening of the partnership between the two companies in the oil and gas sector.

A strong delegation, led by the Chairman and CEO of SONATRACH, and composed of our Chairman and CEO, as well as the CEOs of subsidiary companies specializing in drilling works, major oil works, well services, transport by pipelines, civil engineering, construction and training, took part in this meeting.

The memorandum aims to resume the activities of the Parent Company SONATRACH and its subsidiaries in Libya in order to honor its contractual obligations in the "065" and "96/95" areas in the Ghadames basin.
It should be noted that this agreement will also strengthen cooperation in the fields of exploration, production, oil services and training.
During this meeting, Mr. Toufik HAKKAR presented an overview of SONATRACH and the capabilities of its subsidiaries in the field of oil services, highlighting their high skills and proven know-how.
